Neel Pender
Neel Pender has spent a lifetime as an entertainer. First picking up the guitar at the age of six, Neel played his first honky tonk with his musician father before he was ten years old. Since then, Neel has written hundreds of songs, recorded in Nashville, and played countless stages throughout the southeast both as a bandleader and a solo performer.
Having made his home in Tallahassee, FL for more than 20 years, Neel has played nearly every club in the area and has fronted such popular local bands as High Country, Bowlegged Rooster, Alibi, and the Forgotten Coast Band. Neel has also shared the stage as opening act with such nationally-known performers as T. Graham Brown, Dan Seals, and Colonel Bruce Hampton. Audiences love the wide range of styles and nearly endless song selection. From the rasp of Bob Seger to the twang of George Jones, from the laid back sounds of Jimmy Buffett to the howl of Bon Scott, Neel Pender always leaves the crowd wanting more.
Prior to beginning his professional career onstage, Neel studied music education and music theory at Florida State University. Neel was also selected for the prestigious Georgia Governor's Honors program in music and completed additional music studies at Valdosta State University.
